I will say that I know it’s just a thing, but I loved them so much. Why do people have to be such asshats?
Anyway…
We entered the new year uneventfully. Which is a win in my book.
Qam is now 24, and NerdKid is 12 in a week.
How’d I get so old?
Ha!
Honestly, though, the relief I’d gotten from shots has stopped being effective. While I’m not back to using a cane, I cannot be up on my feet for long without a deep and painful ache from the degenerative disc disease in my lower back. Did I mention it also runs down the saiatic nerve on both legs? Yeah, walking is so much fun.
If you weren’t aware, I am working from home. Mostly writing or content migration. It’s flexible, pays nicely, and I can work around NerdKid’s homeschooling schedule, which is really nice for my health, too.
As for homeschooling… no, let’s talk about the struggle of being a stubborn neurodivergent person with a stubborn neurodivergent child at a later date. Haven’t had enough coffee for that yet.
I’m rambling…
I don’t know how often I’ll post here. I want to make it a habit for 2023, because I missed the connection of Xanga. Did you know you can start one, too? And then your online friends can get an email whenever you update.
Until next time, friends.
I homeschool my neurodivergent kid (well, both of them were, but I'm talking about my youngest) for about a year in 5th grade due to some bullying she was getting at school. It was a struggle.
