I’m okay. I really am.
Are you tired of listening to me whine?
I’m tired of listening to me whine.
So, what do I do now?
*sigh*
Let’s be random…
#1: Trying to Let Go of Things I Can’t Control
The well-paying contract I had is over due to reorganization within the organization. My ‘dependable’ income is now down to $0 again.
I try to remember that I don’t have to work, since Peter’s job takes care of us, but the brain gremlins whisper that I am not carrying my share. Stupid brain gremlins.
#2: Not Pinning My Hopes
I applied to this job last Friday morning. I received this last Friday afternoon.
This is a full-time job, not a contract, and pays between $35-40k/annually.
I’m happy, but in that wary waiting-for-the-other-shoe-to-drop way.
#3: Art Heals, Right?
For every five bad sketches, I do one with potential. This is Microwave—yes, that’s her name—hiding out in ElderSpawn’s pajama chest pocket. It’ll be great when it’s all inked in and maybe watercolor.
What About You?
Let me know what’s up with you.
Also, I’m working on updating my snail mail list, so if you’re interested, please respond to the email with your address and birthday.
Sorry about your job. You are lucky that you don't "have" to work. I would love nothing more than to retire right now. Today. I'm 58, soon to be 59 and I'm over it. I do hope that you are able to find something that is perfect for you, though and I will cross my fingers that you do. Regarding the venting, hey, this is your space to write what you want. God(dess) knows I need to do that once in a while.
Scott had an emergency surgery last week, was in the hospital for 3 days and is now recovering at home. I am now doing more than ever and it is tiring. As always, I try to keep focused on the positive. I like the drawing of Microwave. Is he a hamster of a gerbil? I had a great Black Bear Hamster named Speedy and he was the best. He used to eat spaghetti from a fork. :) I hope that you're feeling as well as possible these days.
